Arm The Teachers Or Disband The Schools

It's hard to understand the future from the present. As a follower of Christ, I try to envision what path may lie ahead for me - knowing - having been through it many times - that the way is not clear, that I feel forced into certain situations only to find out that the future I wanted went through the past that I did not want.

So it is for this nation. Right now it is impossible to envision a return to liberty where every law is first judged by the impact to personal liberty and whether the government has the right to impose such a law. It is so distant, this idea of a society based around liberty (the way it was supposed to be before the progressive movement over a hundred years ago got ahold of our government and turned it against liberty) that many can no longer even see it.

Imagine, for a minute, an FCC (we won't argue the right of the FCC to exist right now) that banned any company from registering a mobile telephone where encryption did not absolutely guarantee the privacy of phone calls made over their system and failure to provide this encryption would endanger their license to operate. Very possible, completely doable, but not even attempted by a government in hostility toward the privacy of the individual.

Imagine, for a minute, that a speed limit could not be arbitrarily imposed against the liberty of the people, but the state must first show cause for that limit and studies proving the limit to be a reasonable restriction on the liberty of the people to freely transverse the state and that the limit could and should be regularly challenged in a court of law.

If that seems distant and a little difficult to imagine, you have been brainwashed. No American should even think in terms of being "allowed" to do anything, or forced to give up individual privacy in order to enjoy the benefits of technology. But, it all began before your parents were born and it was done through schools, it was done through incremental steps toward collectivism, where the good of the many out weighed the rights of the one, but that is the exact opposite of the principles that made America a great and powerful nation. (I won't go back into time and reargue the Civil War, or the War of Northern Aggression ((though that better describes it)) or get into the minutia of every aspect of America from its founding. I won't engage in side arguments for a bit here)

The rights of the one should be the starting place of every law. How does it affect the privacy, liberty or property of Joe the bartender? or the farmer? or the doctor? But, we have let this evil dwell within our society and grow to infect even the patriot brain, it is irresistible to some degree.

But now, look at the America that should be for a moment, one as described above and ask yourself, "How do we get there from here?" Seem impossible? That is exactly the vision you have been indoctrinated to accept.

Consider how the last banking crisis was handled (I say last, because it was only one of many throughout American history and it won't be the last). What if, the property rights of the one outweighed the good of powerful? If the rights of the one was inviolable; a brick wall. Would it not have been better during the last banking crisis that anyone current on their loan with the defunct bank would then be the possessor of the land, home, business with whom the loan was contracted? The contract would be void and the land remain with the possessor. Would it not have been better if after a person had paid off $220,000 of a $250,000 home, but lost his job due to the banking crisis, would not have had that home repossessed, but the $30,000 restructured and/or the home sold say for $180,000 and the homeowner reimbursed for all, but the $30,000 owed on the loan at the time of the default?

Of course it would, but the laws have not been made with individual property rights given their proper due. They have been made for reckless bankers and government agencies and powerful organizations. They have been made to make sure that the banking institutions survive their reckless gambling. I know the banking system is much more complicated than I am making it seem, but that's not the point. The fact is, Americans just rolled over and let themselves get raped with all the guilt and shame of any rape victim.

Now, look at the way the gun debate is shaping up. To own a gun is to admit insensitivity to children, perhaps even hostility and why? Because the state owns you. They have proven it many times and in many ways, especially during the last banking crisis and this whole Second Amendment nonsense is just another way they need to make you feel their power, the power of making you feel guilt and shame for owning a gun.

But, if you look at the issue from the proper perspective, the way most gun owners do, that this is one time they will not feel ashamed and guilty for demanding to be treated like an American; a possessor of rights regardless of what laws the powerful Marxists pass in their ridiculous courts of popular opinion. This time the rights of the one outweigh the good of the many, because the rights of the one are in balance with the good of the many and the gun owners know that deep inside, instinctively, but for the Marxist/Collectivist, the Second Amendment is just another law to be sidestepped, shamed out of existence, ridiculed into oblivion.

Now look at schools in the 21st Century, with Skype utilized by millions of people, probably billions worldwide. With the bandwidth available today. Then ask yourselves, why are the American people still sending their precious children to victim congregation centers more populous than a minor league baseball game with no security system whatsoever to defend them from the heinous acts carried out time and time again by drugged up, emotional cripples over a 20 year period.

Are we to accept that the American people, in this technologically intensive time, cannot figure out how to deliver education any other way?  That we must send our precious children into a congregation center with no security system whatsoever, except to hide under a desk or gather in a closet?

Everything the collectivists have done that have cost the lives of all of those students and still, even after the latest bloodbath, armed security in schools is driven from consideration. What do they seek instead? Guns. Why guns? Because of the reason the Japanese bombed Pearl Harbor instead of invading California, because they knew that "There would be a rifle behind every blade of grass." That is the direct quote of Isoroku Yamamoto, Commander In Chief of the Imperial Japanese Navy.

What keeps anyone from invading the United States today? What has changed? It is probably worse for an invader today than at any other time in American history. What would the globalists need to do to "invade" our minds and lives? They would have to remove our ability to resist their totalitarian edicts. They would have to turn us into Sweden, now invaded by "refugees" where a woman is more likely to be raped than in the United States, but who has no recourse to that destiny but a rape whistle. They are not even allowed pepper spray, much less a .32 in the purse.

Take away the Second Amendment and we are just next in line for the absolute devastation of our nation. If the Collectivists want to push this far enough, we will have to go through the past we don't want to get to the future we were always meant to have.

Arm the teachers or disband the schools. Surely we can deliver education better in the 21st Century than the method used in the 18th, when gun ownership and the will to use it to defend children were vastly more prescient.    and

State of Disunion

A State of Disunion - How to counter the renewed push for gun confiscation

A webinar tonight with David Codrea, Matt Bracken and Stewart Rhodes, please join them if you can, it should be interesting. There is a concerted push to confiscate guns and brainwashing going on right now to eventually end gun ownership in the US.

The Collectivists have been playing the long game before many of us patriots were even aware a game was being played. We have not caught up, yet. Any discussion along these lines is important.

Maybe Then

Running just below the surface of America is a disaster. Everyone feels it, you can see it in their eyes. The news is rigged, so nothing disastrous will ever hit the cable to your television unless it advances the collectivist cause. But, that doesn't stop the socialist disasters from happening. The Parkland shooting is a prime example. When the narrative can be aimed at guns and the NRA, it explodes on the television screens, when it turns out that four socialist deputies stood outside, hiding in the bushes while a person known to local law enforcement and the FBI as a serious threat to schools goes on a rampage killing 17 students, it cannot be found.

It is this manipulation that strikes the subconscious, even when it is defended by those with a political agenda. The collectivists know they are sublimating the truth and their eyes show it. The more rabid they are, the harder they are trying to deceive the rest of us and themselves.

All of America at this stage is divided between collectivists and individualists. A great many of those in the government are the staunchest defenders of collectivism, it is how they make their money and fund their retirements and everything an individualist does, except they must take their sustenance from the individualists.

The individualist is the sucker, the rube, who daily goes out into the wilderness of society and tries desperately to beat back the bloodsuckers in government at all levels, battles competitors, wins contracts and bids to not only fund his own endeavors, his own retirement, put his own children through school (often homeschool as sort of a defense against creating more collectivists) and takes on the same burden for all of those collectivists that daily raid his treasure chest and call it their own.

Who would  want to be on the side of the individualist, knowing this all to be fact? None. Except that without the individualist who must be fleeced and dominated to achieve the plunder to be spread upon the waters of those who hate him and daily work to eliminate him from any social interaction or political influence, there would be nothing for the collectivists to spread about.

And, this is the rub, the individualist knows that without him it all falls apart and for a good bit of time he has been able to withstand the onslaught of his collectivist neighbors and still come out ahead, so he will continue to do so, no matter how defamed and despised he is, no matter how many of his support organizations the collectivists demonize and destroy. It is, after all, this spirit, this determination, this grit that built America into the powerful and wealthy society that caught the attention of the collectivists (in 1900). Because the collectivist cannot produce, for that you need individuals with spirit, determination and grit. The collectivist can only slice a hole in the bottom of society and drain the blood from it, so they need rich and powerful societies to attack.

The weakness of the individualist and why it always loses out to the level of attack that has been leveled against America over the past hundred years, especially in the past several decades, is that individualists, unlike collectivists, cannot organize. They cannot work together. Each is a nation among himself. Slowly, they are throttled individually, swallowed up into the collective and eventually converted, assuming the role of a serf. A worker for the grand designs of the collective.

As I watch this play out before my eyes, in my nation, as I become a second-class citizen, a serf for the demands of the collective I search furtively for anyone else who will join me in the counter-attack. But, I recognize that it will have to get a lot worse, before any will join me. The concept of fighting from a position of strength is something unknown to the individualist. Already the precepts of a republic are gone, the promises of the Constitution violated, the belief in the election process non-existent and none of this has inspired the individualist to look to one another and say: "For this we will unite and for no other cause."

I have spent tens of thousands of dollars already trying to organize, trying to inspire, trying to get these individualist to stand as one, just once. They won't. They have reasons, all of them good. What I learned is I am not suited to leadership, which is fine, I only tried out of default, because no one else was trying at all. But, I did not have the right plan, the right strategy, or the right amount of charisma to pull it off, so I wait for "the one" to rise and I will swear my allegiance to "the one."

But now the collectivists smell blood, the blood they have always coveted, the blood of the gun owner. The NRA, GOA and many smaller gun rights organizations are their next targets and 100 million individual gun owners. Clearly enough to bust the collectivist wild weeds down to mere roots, but they won't. I have prayed for the health of my nation to end this collectivist, vote rigging, deep state cabal, but nothing heretofore has happened and when they have the guns, they will have won complete and utter domination and this nation will suffer the fate of Venezuela, bringing down the entire world economy with it.

Maybe then, in the ruins of this great civilization, when we have all been busted down to scraps, to eating our pets, we will find the political courage to stand.      and

Gun Mockumentary

I was contacted by the individual in the tape to alert others to the tactic being used by a Hollywood style documentary maker who is intent upon making the gun rights community look ridiculous and extreme. While he may have fallen victim to the tactic, beware that you do not take part. You can listen to the audio message here:

Child Sacrifice of the Left

These are times that illustrate the reason the United States of America were designed as a REPUBLIC and not a DEMOCRACY. Despite the insistence of politicians to describe our republic as a democracy, it is at just such times as these, of high emotion, that a republic was preferred and not by just a little bit. All of the founders understood that a democracy allows for the majority to decide individual rights based on votes, based on emotion, based on prejudice, but that a republic is designed to ensure individual rights against precisely the hysteria we see in the wake of the Parkland shooting.

At the church I attended last Sunday, a sheriff deputy's car was parked out front and the deputy sheriff was inside, armed and making eye contact with everyone who entered. It was a bit odd to see him standing there in uniform, but at many of the services I attend there are one or two open carry individuals in the congregation, so it wasn't the idea of the weapons being present, but by who presented them. This is the state of our nation. Where there is an occasion for mass killings, there MUST be armed resistance.

Now, the collectivist left have found a tragedy they think they can exploit. The Parkland, Florida shooting is just what they had in mind to push their gun-grabbing agenda, but there are a few things standing in their way, one is the fact of our republic, even as tattered as it is. Another is the sheer illogical conclusions to which they have come.

First, this is a republic, not a democracy. The majority has absolutely no say in what rights the individual has. Those rights, though often treated as privileges in many states and cities, remain rights, the security of which may have to be defended the old-fashioned way, through force. Chief among them is the right to self-defense using whatever tools one is most comfortable with, including and especially guns. This is not up for debate, it is not even up for discussion. Hold all of the meetings and all of the discussions that one chooses to have, but it still comes down to having to enforce whatever law is agreed upon by people who were not elected to arbiter our rights away, but to defend them with the full force of law. Granted, they may take the coward's way out, they are good at that, but then it falls to us to enforce our own rights. One only possesses the rights they are willing to defend with their lives.

Second, their conclusion that some sort of gun restrictions will end school shootings is absolutely false. There are only two solutions to school shootings: 1) end public schools and the congregation of hundreds of children in the same place at the same time; 2) harden those schools with armed guards, administrators and/or teachers. Simply putting the weapons in their hands will stop mass killings at schools. It has worked at every venue it has been tried, schools are no different.

If those solutions are not part of the discussion, then there can be no solution at all and only a gigantic social upheaval that will make the occasional school shooting pale in comparison to the carnage served up by one section of the nation deciding to debilitate, unarm and make victims of the other half. Everywhere there is strict gun control there is rampant crime, a concentration of gang violence and murder rates that are unacceptable to those of us who understand what a republic is and how it works.

No one clamoring for gun restrictions today will have to stand in front of the murder victims of tomorrow and explain their point of view to the widows and orphans caused by their emotional stupidity. They will not have to explain why, having got their way today, that, their cities have increased in theft, rape, murder or home invasion. Every day these crimes are stopped by those defending themselves with weapons, with guns and some statistical increase will never draw an accusing finger in their direction. It is simply emotional reaction to a problem easily solved, yet completely ignored in the 19 years since the school shooting at Columbine High School.

To be even more blunt, it is the administrators, the teachers and the cities that have caused the rash in school shootings over the past 19 years, because they will not recognize reality and set their political (collectivist) leanings aside for fear of encouraging the proliferation of guns, even though that is exactly what has been prescribed for this issue and proven time and time again elsewhere. It is a particularly cruel ideology that offers up these children, purposely defenseless over and over to whatever demented individual commandeers a weapon just so they will not be seen as losing some political argument. But, they have lost and what they have lost are the lives of other people's children.

But, let us not enter into this effort to confiscate our weapons with any other intent than to make it the first shot in the inevitable civil war, because even suffering one more compromise only leads us to the future, where many more are envisioned. This issue should not be settled with anything less than a division of the nation into smaller, pieces more likely to secure our liberties, because this old framework has been cracked and nothing resembling the republic will remain once they accomplish a disarmament.     and

Public School Death Traps

From a comment on the previous post NO! came an idea that has come of age. Why are we still sending our children to schools? What justification, after all of the carnage and all of the other problems inherent to pubescent and pre-pubescent children congregating in these social indoctrination centers can the collectivists offer?

Curriculums can be purchased and given online. Everyone has some access to the internet and those curriculums need not be data intensive to allow even low data usage accounts to access the information and take the courses. Naturally, there is some degree of risk for fraud, where parents actually do the work for the children, but at present there is a huge amount of social advancements taking place anyway. Cheating is cheating, whether done on the individual or institutional levels. The risk that poorly educated adults will do the work of poorly educated children is probably as beneficial as it is problematic.

For everyone else, who is accustomed to sending their children off to school so that they can have a life outside of their children, that is not the purpose of school, it is to educate, or more likely in government run schools, indoctrinate. Perhaps, this is the opportunity for the failing school systems to be rectified, for parents to rediscover their primary responsibility, which is to raise educated and functional adults.

The resistance to this idea will come mostly from those who benefit from the current system: liberal collectivist educators; teachers unions; government entities that tax everything in order to provide a substandard education (it now commonly takes 5 years to get a 4 year degree); collectivist organizations, who benefit from a previously programmed populace inclined to support their efforts and etc.

What has been proven over the past several years is that government schools no longer serve their intended purpose of educating. They have become social engineering venues. School boards are resistant to input from parents who find the social engineering aspects of their local schools as degenerate and profane.

Schools, because of their leftist bent and collectivist trajectory, are unable to come to grips with threats to the student body. In the nineteen years since the Columbine school shooting none of the government schools have embraced the logical defense against armed assailants, which would be to provide armed resistance on site. Relying on a police force to stop the carnage is and has been shown to be ineffective.

Instead, the solution to school shootings presented by the collectivists is to ban guns in the greater society. Gun confiscation is a hallmark of collectivists, who believe that the ultimate authority in society is the state. That goes against the founding of this nation and the concept of individual rights and the understanding that the individual is the ultimate authority in society, responsible for their own defense, their own housing, their own transportation, their own selection of representatives, their own incomes, their own clothing and yes, their own education. The more instances in which the individual can reduce their reliance on the state the greater the degree of liberty one might exercise.

To do away with schools would accomplish a lot in the understanding of individual rights and responsibilities that should be promoted diligently in our society, but is not in order to accommodate the recent push toward collectivism. Schools are largely responsible for this soft coup that has taken place over the past 100 years or so.

Government schools are unnecessary. Many children already go to private schools to sidestep the indoctrination of government schools. Vouchers have been resisted by the education cartel at every turn. How many lives might have been saved had vouchers been aggressively issued and smaller, better run schools been in existence?

In the past 20 years technology has allowed advancements in education that have not taken place, because government schools resist change, resist experimentation into different methods of delivering education. Government schools are a retardant to innovation. They, like unions in general, resist evolution and rely on protectionism to maintain the status quo, no matter how backward and destructive that status quo might be.

It is time to be innovative for the children. It is time to provide protection to the children. It is time to free the children from these death traps called public schools.   and

Thursday, February 15, 2018

It is difficult in the aftermath of the Parkland, FL shooting to have to come up with such a stance, but  the collectivist left leaves no alternative. No, we will not give up our guns, not now, not if you have another hundred school shootings. Columbine was the worst school shooting in history nearly 19 years ago, 19! In the aftermath, while law enforcement stood about outside the building unsure of whether to enter, or where, or if the shooting was ongoing, America has still not solved the issue of school shootings.

Why so many shootings at schools? They are easy targets for one, they are filled with kids, unable and uninclined to defend themselves. They are "gun-free" zones, at least until the armed assailant enters that pristine atmosphere, knowing that no harm will come to him, that he will be the ultimate in power for the first time in his life. That he might hold teenage grudges against people who did not treat him appropriately, from his perspective, is just another reason to attack a school.

The real question is why on earth, after so many school shootings have the schools not done more to harder their defenses. Metal detectors are of no consequence to the dedicated shooter. The only thing that has ever worked to minimize or prevent school shootings is armed response. So, after 19 years of carnage, false flags and even possibly FBI initiated or tolerated murders of students going to school, in order to secure an assault weapons ban, the way they tolerated thousands of Mexican deaths during Fast and Furious, the way they tolerated the death of Brian Terry, the schools themselves have not done the one thing that could have stopped it, right then. If the coach, who was also a security guard for the school had been armed, perhaps he would have been able to trade a few rounds back at the demented shooter instead of essentially being a bullet catcher for the rounds fired by the shooter.  Heroic, yes, absolutely, but more heroic would have been to stop the killing, not to just be one of the killed, no matter how well-intentioned it might be.

Yes, I already hear the drumbeat for gun control, for what other purpose would so many collectivist school systems have allowed their children to be slaughtered, except that they see that by every sacrifice of children they offer up, the collectivist goal of gun confiscation gets closer and closer. That is a sick and demented mentality, the same sort of sick mentality it takes to kill millions of Jews and millions of Russian citizens, with the idea of a better outcome at the end. But, sometimes the end does not justify the means that NO end justifies the means of allowing hundreds of children to be slaughtered all for the idea of some legislation getting through congress and had I not had a front-row-seat to the Fast and Furious scandal, I would not even contemplate that our government officials would be as callous and cynical as to engage in such activities, but they have and since they have, they will in the future.

Granted, many school officials are just timid, who fear weapons of self defense as much as they fear a pay cut, or a strike, but that does not alleviate them from the responsibility to look at the solution to such massacres and to employ it. Since they have not, they are culpable in the slaughter themselves. So, when they look out at the law-abiding public and point a finger at them and proclaim that they should not be allowed to employ guns to defend themselves, the answer can only be NO.

Guns are used numerous times a day to deter crime, most of which are never reported to the police, because the gun owner has no reason to involve police in a situation where a firearm was used to deter crime. It simply serves no purpose. The threat was dealt with and the perpetrator ran away. Unless the weapon is actually fired, there is no reason to involve the police. So, this statistic does not show up in studies, it is just a personal anecdote told by the criminal or the person required to defend himself. There is also no reason for all of these people, who rely on weapons to defend themselves and their property to do without that protection, to encourage crime in that way all because schools have not learned the lessons given to them over the past 19 YEARS.

If you're stupid and you know it, raise your hand. Being educated by gun-grabbing collectivist teachers and professors does not give one the right to expose millions of fellow Americans to the criminal element with whom they must decide life and death every single day. Your privileged perspective has no relevance on the street level, where these issues are determined. We will keep our guns, our freedoms, our lives, our wallets and our inventory. Thanks for playing.     and

Reader's Comment

This was a comment by Mountain Forge, but he is unable to leave comments on my site as others have encountered as well, but when I tried to put it in comments it was too long, something he could have edited by himself if he had been able to leave the comment. So, I am posting it here, because I think he raises some good points and illustrates some of my on the previous post.

Mountain Forge

I agree with TL. If anything TL's insight into how no matter what if we are to be free people have the liberty we want we are ultimately and practically responsible. That it all begins, and ends with each of us.

There are no other arguments but how we act in a manner commiserate with our duty, honorably, in individual and collective responsibility.

Get over that hurdle and that is where positive change can then begin.

But first we have to bravely and honestly face our own shortcomings and reluctance to personally take matters into our hands.

Everything else is worthless, its just noise. Nothing will be done until we mature to that stage. As men of The West, we have this legacy, Liberty, running through our veins.
Don't get me wrong, this is a real problem which exists. To ignore it or make excuses for it is whistling past the graveyard of a republic. Our forebears suffered from this exact same reluctance and inability to get started with the hard things. They only became revolutionaries in more than name only when a certain number of people chose, its choice here we are talking about in essence, they made the choice to resist and secede in their hearts, their minds intellectually, and in the physical. Its a holistic package.
No fair weather Patriots. Its has to be four season solders and Patriots.

Sure, life is pretty good in relative terms.

Who wants to risk their families, homes, jobs, property, and lives? Not for casual cause thats for sure. So how do we get over that natural reluctance into the realm of high risk and danger?

Thats the question here.

We get past that hurdle by becoming the plurality with the understanding the idea of rule of law and intent of constitutional governance protects our honor and virtue.

That it is the grand check & balance.

In real terms, blood and flesh living terms, we must be prudent at all costs. It is prudence that is also at the heart of the issues of our time. We get there together as that plurality. This is in simple terms a rare totally unique motive power, a power derived from righteous cause, motivation to do the right thing for liberty so liberty can do for us what it can not and can never do without the motive power of committed free self deterministic individuals behind it.

Thats the lesson, the legacy key the founding people handed off which is the essential ingredient in achieving that plurality which will not be denied. That derives from just cause. It is the moral high ground. It is a thing that requires faith in something larger, and at the same time faith in the plural nature of a solidarity between a group of people who refuse to submit. Faith in the moral and physical courage of our brothers in kind.

There is great fortifying comfort in that plural dynamic.

Look to the Poles, how they stuck together against the raw naked power and physical relentless cold blooded military and ideological might of the old Soviet.

Its true. They accomplished it. They did it because of the just nature of their motivation AND actions. The two are inextricably linked. The tie that binds. Just as the 1st & 2nd Amendmendments are inextricably tied together. If you grok that uniting dynamic you understand the motive, the righteous motive power of us as Patriots refusing to comply with the tyranny and its tyrants breathing down our necks.
The fundamental thing here is it puts the tyrants in the illegitimate position. They have to react, as all tyrants must to defiance, or they loose the illusion of power. But they also loose that illusion of power also when they strike back at the just people who resist and defy them and their tyranny in just cause.
It is a very delicate fine line this tyranny once a Republic walks, it can not survive without some form of consent from a plurality of people also. Consent of the tacit or openly granted kind, in matters not which, but that consent is the keystone to that illusion of legitimacy the tyrants and their system of tyranny holds.

Break that illusion by exposing the tacit nature of tacit consent, and its game over. Then that is wear the action begins. It is the turning point for everyone, nobody gets a free ride then. Thats the strategic move to undermine and reveal the unjust illegal nature of the states power. It is actually down hill in a sense from there. That motive power of moral high ground has the advantage. It is the tyrants who must react, it is actually getting inside their OODA loop. It is then via the use of tactical action, the tyrants are kept off balance, they are always having to use illegitimate methods or means to play catchup and expose themselves as illegitimate to all. It is a process really. The process of denying the tyrants consent through increasing withdrawal of consent, and it is here where that so critical tacit consent evaporates in a second.

This then the tyrants only have then one means of retaining their grip on the levers of raw naked power, and that is through naked force & violence, and then there is nothing for it, but to collapse, or go full on war against the people. And that only creates more and more people who see that yes it is that bad, and they join the honorable resistance. Because that is what the fighting Patriot is,  the honorable resister. And anyone with good in their heart can get behind that.

That is what TL taught me all those years ago when he sent me 6 copies of The Constitutionalist: Rights To Die For.

It is what he is trying to say here, to you, all of us right here right now.

That nothing is lost if we aren't. There are many forms of Republic. This Republic is not written in stone. It was always a thing that was open to being changed or cast off, it was the whole point. Tyranny is statist, static, it has to be. Liberty is a living thing. It is the unfettered action of free people. that can never be static, or it becomes statism.

Do you see?

Do you understand?

A Citizen of the Republic

The citizens of a republic must bear an enormous burden. The weight and future of the nation rests solely on their shoulders. Unlike their many counterparts around the world, who consider themselves to be subjects of the king, or comrades of the state, the citizen of a republic owes his allegiance solely to the rule of law. The law is created by the people themselves through their legislators and other citizens are hired to ensure that those laws are obeyed by all equally.

Despite the fact that many politicians today use the term "democracy" in reference to the political system of the United States, nothing could be further from the truth or more intentionally misleading. The citizen of a democracy owes his allegiance solely to the majority opinion, that is a recipe for all sorts of abuses and tyranny of the majority. The distinction is important. A republic defends the interests of the minority against the will of the majority through the rule of law.

That all of this went off the rails a hundred years ago during the progressive era of the early 1900's, does nothing to the underlying responsibility of the people to rectify it. The condition of the American citizen, who is now disregarded, defamed and ignored by the powerful bureaucracies of the federal government is commonly laid at the feet of the failure of the Constitution, but the Constitution is no better or worse than those charged with its defense, the people themselves. No one said that self-government was going to be easy, in fact, it should be the most laborious of all systems. It is not enough to simply fly the American flag on the 4th of July.

The Tea Party, inspired by the economic collapse of 2008, sought to hold their representatives accountable for the excesses of the banking system that simultaneously caused the meltdown and was the greatest beneficiary of it. The further unconstitutional acts of the Obama Administration only infuriated the Tea Party. But, where the Tea Party failed was in a single question: What if replacing representatives, even on a wholesale scale, does nothing to redress the grievances?

The federal government of the United States operates largely on the efforts of non-elected bureaucrats contemptuous of the people and their representatives. Changing a few figureheads through elections does nothing to restore liberty, or restrain the excesses of government.

The bureaucrats are in response to a people who have decided to look to the government for solutions to all sorts of problems; some people get sick from something they ate and the response is to create the Food and Drug Administration; children aren't performing in schools and the response is to create the Department of Education; some criminals flee across state lines to avoid capture and the response is to create the Federal Bureau of Investigation. All of these solutions have created the problems we have today, with an FBI running amok, intransigent and above the law, believing themselves to actually BE the law and powerful enough to deny the citizens any leader that might hold them accountable. They will use the tools given them to defend the law to manipulate elections to deny any politician that might seek to restrain them or reform their bureaus.

Government now acts as the princes and lords of a mythical king. The American people can only look to themselves for a solution to problems this big. The progressive era ushered in a century ago began the long trek towards the overthrow of the republic. Now that the metamorphosis to collectivism is nearly complete the people find themselves at the mercy of people like Comey, Strzok and Mueller, enabled by people like Obama and Clinton.

It will not fix itself. One can watch breathlessly while crimes are uncovered and treason is unmasked, but no one in Washington anticipates that the criminals will go to prison or the traitors will be executed, because all of the actors in this play are the masters, not the slaves. They are not the lowly citizens of a defunct republic.

But, I urge you, as the only legitimate source of political power in a republic, the citizen, to exercise that power. Demand prison for the criminals and executions of the traitors with the full understanding that if you do that, it will initiate a civil war, because a third of your fellow citizens have already embraced that new collectivist state. It is evident in the Bernie Sanders voters who sought to formalize the socialist/communist state the republic has drifted toward over the past several decades. Your fellow citizens are already complicit in the death of the republic and will not help you save it. Do not act now, as a citizen of the republic, and you will embrace the collectivist state yourself.

Most of those reading this will opt for leisure instead of work and consign themselves to the recognition of themselves as part of the collective, but others will take up the shovel with which to bury the collectivist state. There is time to see if Trump and Sessions can rise to the occasion and fulfill the role God has laid out for them as defenders of the republic, but a citizen of the republic should do so while preparing their gear.         and

Real Bullets and Garrotes

After reading numerous articles on the release of the memo and what it means, it seems clear to me that no one is completely grasping the situation in which we find ourselves as a people, as a nation. One only gets a clear picture of the situation if they read not only the conservative reaction to the memo, but also the liberal reaction.

Above I referenced "ourselves as a people" but that, clearly, is no longer true. This is not a new discovery, but an acknowledgement of an old one.

In fact, the only point of political agreement between liberal and conservatives is that we should burn it all to the ground and start over. As intolerable as it would have been for me to see Hillary Clinton take the reins of the Justice Department and the Department of Homeland Security, knowing her penchant for secret police utilization and wanton disregard for not only the Constitution but any law standing between her and her goals, it is just as intolerable for liberals to see Donald Trump in the Oval Office, despite the fact that he has demonstrated only the opposite nature. It is the fact that he IS Donald Trump, not what he has done or is likely to do that upsets them.

They hate Donald Trump, because he is not Hillary and the conversion from a weakened, destabilized republic into a full-throated communist state has apparently ceased. All the work done by the destroyers of the republic has now been sacrificed. The idea that we have borders drives them insane, because it protects the republic by failing to dilute the voting population with people unconcerned about the survival of the republic, but actively determined to wreck it.

They hate Donald Trump, because he is going to (and already has) strengthen the economy (which is no tremendous feat since Barack Obama had spent so much of his energy trying to destroy the economic advantages of capitalism and keeping misery high enough to warrant a communist conversion and interracial antagonism that simply standing aside would have accomplished much of the Trump expansion).

They hate Donald Trump, because during the State of the Union address he demonstrated to the independent voters, a largely untapped source of votes big enough to overcome the recent liberal invasion of illegal aliens and "refugees," that the news reports of him being strictly a racist hater were untrue and that there were some very solid reasons for opposing open borders, good reasons, patriotic reasons.

We are a nation trying to be two nations and there are those on both sides of the argument who willingly and actively want to start the fire that burns the whole thing to the ground so they can have their way, but they still may not get it and the nation will have been burnt to ruins in the process. I would prefer that we find a way to agree to disagree and find some way to facilitate the divisions on a political level, not unlike making West Virginia out of Virginia. That would be the best for everyone. The communists could have their utopia for as long as it lasts and they can still loot the benefits of capitalism until they come to the understanding that they will have to wage war on the conservative section to continue their looting spree and start a war.

Meantime, the conservative section could unleash largely unfettered manufacturing and business interests with necessary, but not cumbersome and taxing regulations designed to thwart and loot their efforts. Guns would proliferate and training for the inevitable civil war could ensue, because all conservatives know that when the liberals turn their new nation into (and I quote here) a shithole, they will do all they know how to do and start a war.

The politics of the memo only drive home the extent to where this is the ultimate outcome of current events. It is a stage of nationhood that, like puberty, is a necessary aspect of an aging society. We have well-defined sides, polar opposite goals, high-level government officials determined to risk treason in order to effect the conversion to communism. The only real question left, at this point, is whether conservatives have enough high-level government officials willing to risk civil war to hold the treasonous accountable for their actions. The answer to that question determines whether the gloves come off and the communists already in control of much of government go after the timid conservatives in government with real bullets and garrotes, or the conservatives stiffen and put them in prison, all of them, to keep them from doing just that.

This is where it is sort of a shrug of acknowledgement that it doesn't really make a difference which way it goes, except in body count and the amount of blood in the drainage system. Lack of resolve, in this situation is just as deadly as sterling resolve, because the first moves in this ultimate game of nation domination have already been made and there is no way to shake it off now.        and
